Whittaker Apartments is located in the Brookville Heights neighborhood in the east end of Newport News. There are multiple public transportation stops within walking distance to get you around the city for groceries, shopping, restaurants and activities. Directly behind the community is a community center that offers instructional classes, open recreation, sports programs, special events, after school programs, and a summer day camp. They also have a fitness room, indoor walking track, outdoor pool & spray play area, park and basketball court. Additionally, some of the major attractions in Newport News include access to beaches, ships, and one of the largest maritime museums in the world.
